Different Types of Sofa Sleepers
There are many different types of sofa sleepers. To know which kind you would like to buy, you must first know what each one of them entails.
A futon is the oldest and most basic type of sofa sleeper. It is basically a series of parallel bars that holds a hard mattress. The mattress folds in the middle to become a sofa. You pull a handle or two to make the mattress fold down into a bed. Futons are very popular in dorm rooms and rooms where there is very limited space. You can even fit a futon into the office just in case you have a fight at home.
A Click-Cluck Sofa Sleeper is lifted by the bottom and opens to reveal a storage area under the sofa for blankets and pillows so you never have to make the bed. If you push the bottom further up, the sofa will click again and evolve into a bed. These types of sofa sleepers are good for having guests over.
A pull out sofa sleeper is pulled out from the bottom and the top folds down into the empty space to become a bed. The pull-out sleepers also might have a storage compartment to keep your sheets, shoes, toys, or anything else you need a place for.
SECTIONAL SOFA SLEEPER
A sectional sofa sleeper is the most sophisticated type. They are much known for their elegance and grace. The bed is pulled out from the bottom of the sofa depending on where the bed is placed in the sectional. You can customize a sectional sleeper to look almost any way you like.
